Responsibilities
Lead, align and inspire a dedicated team of four full-time and eight part-time program staff
Strategically position education, volunteer, and community engagement initiatives for success with partners and community stakeholders
Lead fundraising, partnership cultivation and outreach efforts to secure the resources and capacity needed to ensure the continued success of our mission
Engage with a variety of community stakeholders including elected officials, federal agency partners, local/regional planning and recreation partners, school and education system leaders and other non-profit organizations
Demonstrate the ability to lead in a variety of settings, from policy and planning-focused initiatives co-led with grasstops stakeholders, to local, on-the-ground involvement with the many people, communities, and cultures that are connected to our outdoor spaces
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of Nevada's unique history, heritage and culture
Geographic and environmental diversity knowledge
Demonstrated ability to work with the Southern Nevada community
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Active listening skills
Capacity to advocate successfully using stories, science, and data
