Responsibilities
Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate mechanical and plumbing estimates
Perform detailed quantity take-offs for commercial plumbing systems and related piping
Solicit, review, and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify scope, constructability, and sequencing
Identify cost drivers, risk items, and value engineering opportunities
Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and tender submissions
Maintain historical pricing data and estimating benchmarks
Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks as required
Ensure estimates meet internal standards, schedules, and project requirements
Qualification
Required
Five or more years of experience estimating commercial mechanical and plumbing projects
Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and mechanical coordination
Proficiency with Trimble AutoBid and Bluebeam
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to perform accurate take-offs, labor calculations, and pricing analysis
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and applicable codes
Clear written and verbal communication skills

Experience with QuickPen Design
