Responsibilities
Lead survey field crews to complete boundary, topographic, ALTA, as-built, and construction layout surveys for land development projects
Operate and oversee the use of Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GPS Data Collectors, and related surveying equipment
Perform field calculations, sketching, and quality control reviews of collected data
Train and mentor junior crew members on procedures, safety, and best practices
Download, compile, and verify field data, sketches, and plans for accuracy and completeness
Manage survey equipment maintenance, field vehicles, and project logistics
Coordinate project requirements with supervisory staff, engineers, and project managers
Ensure all field work complies with company standards, client expectations, and safety protocols
Independently execute complex surveys and manage multiple active job sites
Qualification
Required
8+ years of field surveying experience using robotic total stations and GPS data collectors
High school diploma or GED required
Proven ability to lead and train field crews effectively
Strong understanding of land development surveying methods, data management, and construction layout
Excellent organizational and communication skills with a focus on quality and safety
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varied conditions
Willingness to travel and work overtime when needed
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred
College coursework in surveying, engineering, or math is a plus
Trimble preferred for robotic total stations and GPS data collectors
