Plaintiff's Litigation Paralegal

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Paralegal with experience in Plaintiff’s Asbestos Litigation and toxic tort cases. The ideal candidate will handle cases from inception to trial, supporting trial attorneys and conducting legal research and writing.

Responsibilities

Review and draft various legal documents and conduct legal research
Create and maintain case files and be able to handle cases from inception to trial
Maintain attorney and Court Calendar/Docket as needed
E-file documents in state and federal courts as needed (PA and NJ is a plus)
Assist and meet with clients and maintain valued relationships
Facilitate organization strategies to meet attorney deadlines efficiently
Participate in fact investigation and the negotiation of legal disputes
Adhere to state and federal compliance regulations/laws while maintaining the proper storage and confidentiality of client information

Required

Experience in Plaintiff's Asbestos Litigation, toxic tort, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases
At least 3 years of litigation experience in one of these areas
At least 5 years of legal experience overall
Recent experience as a Plaintiff's Litigation Paralegal
Knowledgeable in Asbestos Litigation, Toxic Tort, Catastrophic Injury and Wrongful Death matters
Bachelor's degree, Paralegal certificate or commensurate Paralegal experience
Excellent Written and Oral skills
Effective communicator
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Proficiency in Case Management software including but not limited to Clio
Proficiency in Legal Research Search Engines
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
