Responsibilities

Maintain attorney calendars, court dates, and litigation deadlines
File legal documents with state and federal courts and coordinate service of process
Coordinate and schedule hearings with opposing counsel and the court
Review incoming pleadings and ensure all deadlines are properly calendared
Organize and maintain client files (electronic and physical)
Prepare and organize exhibits and binders for hearings and trials
Schedule court reporters for hearings and proceedings
Assist with outgoing and incoming mail
Perform general administrative duties, including scanning, copying, and filing

Required

Prior experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary (litigation experience preferred)
Familiarity with court filing procedures and litigation deadlines

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
Professional communication skills and ability to work independently
