Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary engineering team
Conduct performance reviews, support career development, and promote a culture of growth
Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members
Identify and develop future leaders within the organization
Maintain and strengthen client relationships
Collaborate with Business Development to support proposals and win new work
Contribute to development of proposals, including technical scopes and labor estimates
Oversee major projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule alignment with the support of your engineering leadership team
Lead weekly team meetings to monitor progress and allocate resources
Lead and manage large-scale, multi-discipline engineering projects from concept through completion
Ensure project execution aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
Conduct regular project reviews and risk assessments to ensure proactive issue resolution and capturing lessons learned
Coordinate task assignments and resource allocation across teams to balance workload
Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
Ensure compliance with internal processes, client requirements, and regulatory standards
Apply deep engineering knowledge to complex system and equipment designs
Ensure compliance with DOE requirements and industry standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
10+ years of engineering design experience
Experience in project and people management
Strong technical expertise in one or more engineering disciplines
Excellent communication, technical writing, and leadership skills
U.S. Citizenship and ability to gain unescorted access to nuclear sites
Required to travel at least 25% of the time to client sites for project meetings, marketing meetings, conferences and to ENERCON regional offices
Preferred
Familiarity with DOE projects
Experience leading designs of commercial projects
Experience working in and leading engineering support of commercial construction administration
Strong coordination and team-building skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams. Ability to motivate team members and achieve goals through positive, winning attitude and effective leadership
Experience with the preparation of multi-discipline engineering cost estimates, proposals and presentations
