Brooksource is seeking a Firewall Operations Analyst responsible for the day-to-day operations of network firewalls. The role includes handling firewall change requests, troubleshooting network issues, and maintaining Checkpoint firewalls.

Responsibilities

Network/firewall troubleshooting, including troubleshooting issues with Checkpoint firewalls and Cisco Routers/Switches

Planning, engineering, and implementing of firewall changes

Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and business partners for network security/firewall changes

Regular attendance of project meetings as a representative of the Firewall Operations team

Maintenance and support of network firewalls. Tasks including regular patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of firewall hardware

Adherence to changing management process

Technical writing to include documentation of firewall changes and documenting standards

Regular on-call rotation for firewall related issues

Checkpoint firewallsVPN configurationRoutingSwitchingRegulatory complianceTechnical writing

Required

Recent experience with Checkpoint firewalls (R81.x or higher)

Experience with routing and switching (Cisco)

Experience with VPN setup, implementation, and troubleshooting

Preferred

Experience with Azure and Amazon VPNs with Checkpoint

Experience with regulatory compliance environments (NERC preferred)
