They are seeking a Micro Lab QC Intern to perform routine inspections on products during the manufacturing process, maintain logs of testing results, and assist in preparing quality control reports.

Responsibilities

Follow established policies and procedures
Perform routine inspections on product during manufacturing process
Record and report test results for product consistency, quality and food safety
Assist with conducting audits of production processes and products to help ensure company quality standards
Help maintain accurate logs of testing results
Assist in the preparation of quality control reports
Assist in identifying and resolving quality control issues
Basic microbiological quality and general lab work, including plating (Petri-film), media preparation, environmental sample collection, Lab sanitation, enrichments, autoclaving and dish washing
Assist in specialized testing, including, PCR, RT-PCR, LAMP and ELISA as needed
Executing and maintaining laboratory quality control
Familiar and proficient with aseptic technique

Required

No experience necessary
Food Science students are encouraged to apply
Basic microbiological quality and general lab work, including plating (Petri-film), media preparation, environmental sample collection, lab sanitation, enrichments, autoclaving and dish washing
Assist in specialized testing, including PCR, RT-PCR, LAMP and ELISA as needed
Executing and maintaining laboratory quality control is critical of the position
Familiar and proficient with aseptic technique
Motivated
Detail-oriented
Mechanically and technically inclined
Independent
Ability to multi-task
Good communication skills

Preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
Ability to work in a fast paced, production environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Willingness to learn and contribute to the overall success of the quality team
Ability to work extended hours during our peak season and ability to work weekends when needed
