Responsibilities

Manage and execute Compliance M&T program. Manage schedule to ensure that there is appropriate independent monitoring and testing of business operations and practices by testing transactions, and activities to identify any compliance issues or deviations from established policies
Develop, implement, track, and report on Compliance testing schedules. Also, responsible for timely execution of the annual Compliance testing plan. Manage team completing M&T activities
Act as liaison to reduce duplicate testing efforts across the RCSA testing and Internal Audit team
Design and execute data-driven tests, analyze large datasets for trends, build compliance dashboards, and create metrics for senior management
Collaborate with the internal reporting teams to generate high-quality data and reports for compliance monitoring and testing purposes; employ data mining techniques and software tools to develop reports that identify areas for further review, including but not limited to account types, activity patterns, transaction volumes and values, and trends
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends, including regulatory expectations and standards for effective compliance management systems
Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, and assess the effectiveness of programs/policies/practices
Lead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop team and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all team members
Provide guidance and clarity around priorities and goals for Compliance M&T program and work to ensure goals are communicated to team
Work with Business Unit Managers to ensure compliance issues and recommendations are acted on responsibly and corrective action is effectively implemented
Review complaints for trends and areas of compliance risk
Ensure that the team is trained in laws and regulations
Key contact for managing complex issues, including non-routine information
Identify, assess, and escalate issues requiring senior management attention
Develop and monitor compliance key risk indicators for the Corporate Compliance Program, analyze results to recommend compliance monitoring or other actions
Prepares reporting to the Risk Oversight Committee
Assist Chief Compliance Officer with other projects, as needed
May perform other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum 10-15 years of experience with regulatory compliance in a banking environment; knowledge of banking regulations and guidance (CFPB and FRB)
Prior experience managing teams of compliance testing specialists and/or managers in the execution of Compliance testing and monitoring engagements and validation of action plans in accordance with established standards
Prior testing, audit or business operations experience in areas involving regulatory compliance
Knowledge of relevant regulations, guidance, and industry leading practices
Experience with project implementation and management
Experience managing and developing staff
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., JD, CRCM) are preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience communicating with all levels of management, executive, and writing and presenting reports
Collaborative and good at building and leveraging relationships
Analytical and critical thinking
