The Telecommunications Solutions Engineer will translate complex network requirements into professional design documentation, conduct site assessments, and coordinate with clients and installation teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities
Create detailed telecommunications and fiber optic design drawings using CAD, Visio, or similar design software
Develop telecom riser diagrams, pathway layouts, and low-voltage infrastructure plans for apartment buildings and commercial properties
Generate comprehensive scopes of work, bill of materials, and installation specifications for submission to general contractors and real estate developers
Produce professional presentations and documentation for client meetings using PowerPoint, design software, and visual communication tools
Conduct site walks at prospective customer locations (primarily multifamily developments and new construction sites) throughout NYC metro area
Present technical solutions and design proposals to real estate companies, property managers, and general contractors
Serve as the technical point of contact during pre-sales and project planning phases
Coordinate with building management to determine optimal cable routing, access points, and equipment placement
Perform field serviceability surveys for fiber optic and coax installations in commercial buildings, multi-tenant structures, and standalone properties
Document interior cable routing pathways, footage requirements, and access points during physical walkouts
Develop site survey documentation including pathway sketches (ISP/OSP), drawings, photos, and cost estimates
Work closely with installation teams to ensure design specifications translate to successful field execution
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency in design/drawing software - CAD, Visio, or similar tools (even advanced PowerPoint/graphic design skills are valuable)
Experience creating low-voltage or telecommunications infrastructure drawings and documentation
Familiarity with telecom/fiber optic network components and installation requirements
Comfort working on active construction sites and conducting field assessments
Professional presentation skills for client meetings and proposals
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout NYC metro area
Preferred
Experience with multifamily residential or commercial real estate projects
Background in new construction environments
Previous work with general contractors, real estate developers, or property management companies
Knowledge of building codes and telecommunications infrastructure standards
