Responsibilities
Support the development of strategies to improve organizational performance and maximize effectiveness
Collect, maintain, and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of programs, processes, and operations
Conduct research and evaluate available datasets to develop data-informed recommendations
Assist departments with the development, analysis, and use of performance measures and reporting tools
Support performance review (“stat”) programs, including the creation of dashboards and data visualizations, preparation of materials and participation in review sessions
Assist with strategic planning projects, including the City’s Strategic Plan and departmental performance plans
Assist with survey design and analysis, program evaluations, and benchmarking efforts
Contribute to departmental web resources related to performance, accountability, and strategy
Lead special projects, City-wide initiatives, continuous improvement and strategic planning efforts
Support continuous improvement projects and help foster a culture of performance and accountability across the organization
Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts to support strategic recommendations and action plans
Develop and/or maintain project documentation, timelines, milestones, and performance measures and outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field OR four (4) years of related experience in data analytics, performance management, strategic planning, or process improvement for Performance and Accountability Analyst I
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Data Analytics or related field and two (2) years of related experience with data analytics, performance management, strategic planning, or process improvement for Performance and Accountability Analyst II
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools for Performance and Accountability Analyst II
An equivalent combination of education (above high school level) and/or experience equivalent to six (6) years in the fields using the knowledge, skills and abilities associated with this position for Performance and Accountability Analyst II
All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies
The incumbent of this position may also work long hours, including some nights and weekends
Responsibilities may include travel at times
