Responsibilities
Support the Senior Accountant with daily accounting operations
Maintain accurate general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Perform job cost accounting, including tracking project costs, allocating expenses, and preparing cost reports
Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reports
Maintain vendor records and assist with audits
Provide backup coverage for essential accounting duties as needed
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of professional accounting experience (not retail or cash‑handling roles)
Demonstrated experience in job cost accounting — this is essential
Strong understanding of GAAP, debits/credits, and standard accounting workflows
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
Proficiency in Excel and financial data organization
High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
Comfortable working under the guidance of a Senior Accountant
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience in a corporate, construction, manufacturing, or project‑based accounting environment
Ability to step into expanded responsibilities when needed
