Responsibilities
Attends to the individual needs of the patient which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, transferring, communication or other needs
Perform skills which include observation and documentation of glucometer checks, vital signs and Intake & Outake into appropriate record keeping systems
Lifts, moves and transports patients using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention
Answers patient call lights promptly and courteously
Assists in providing a safe and friendly environment
Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of patients in the delivery of services to them
Interacts with patients in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment
Observes patients for changes in condition or behavior and promptly reports these changes to the appropriate personnel
Uses infection prevention measures to prevent the spread of infection in and around the health care facility
Demonstrates the safe use of equipment and effective and efficient use of supplies
Performs other duties as requested
Participates in departmental or organizational meetings and trainings
Demonstrates ability to use equipment relevant to the position
Qualification
Preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant and/or experience in patient care
