Responsibilities
Author comprehensive, institutional-grade research reports on pending and completed corporate actions (e.g., spin-offs, demergers, and other corporate divestitures)
Conduct fundamental analysis on both the "Parent" and "Spin" entities for domestic and international listings
Maintain routine dialogue with institutional clients through video calls and in-person meetings to discuss key investment ideas
Periodically travel domestically and internationally to meet with clients
Qualification
Required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in publishing investment research to buy-side investors
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work from our New York City office a minimum of four days per week
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting complex financial ideas to sophisticated investors
Ability to build & maintain supporting financial models, including historical & forward financial estimates as well as overall valuation scenarios
Preferred
Deep subject matter expertise in special situations, specifically the mechanics and valuation of spin-offs and carve-outs
Established reputation or existing relationships within the buy-side community
