Responsibilities
Receiving, verifying, and accounting for variable sums of money collected
Handling face-to-face E-ZPass/Video toll transactions with the public
Greeting customers
Opening new E-ZPass transponders to the public
Providing customer service
Analyzing/researching customer accounts
Data entry
Performing a series of computations using equipment such as a cash drawer, computer terminal, specialized software application, adding machine, currency and coin counter, and transponder reader
Lifting of moderately heavy items
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Two years of clerical or accounting experience involving the receipt of, handling of, and accounting for money and/or checks and credit cards in connection with commercial or government activities and including the provision of customer service to the public
Preferred
Excellent oral communication skills required to interact with external customers and with people at various levels within an organization
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to respond verbally to customer inquiries
Ability to provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to the public
Ability to multi-task efficiently
Ability to make accurate arithmetical calculations
