Electronics Engineer Senior

The University of Michigan is seeking a senior Electronics Engineer to work on the integration and commissioning of the ATLAS Monitored Drift Tube (MDT) detector. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the MDT system, conducting electronics and detector studies, and supervising students involved in these projects.

Responsibilities

Install, integrate, and commission the ATLAS MDT detector for the Phase-2 upgrade - 50%
Maintain and operate the ATLAS MDT detector and frontend electronics - 35%
Conduct electronics and detector studies for FCC-ee - 10%
Supervise undergraduate and graduate students working on this project - 5%

Qualification

Required

3-5 years professional experience in electronics engineering or related field is required
A bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, or related field is required

Preferred

A PhD degree in experimental particle physics or fast electronics design is highly preferred for this position
