5+ years expNOW CFO is a growing IT services organization seeking an experienced Billing & Collections Manager / Senior Collections Specialist to enhance their billing and accounts receivable operations. The consultant will focus on improving cash flow, optimizing collections processes, and collaborating with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end billing and collections processes for a high-volume, multi-entity environment
Manage and prioritize collections efforts to reduce DSO and improve cash flow
Review customer contracts, billing terms, and invoicing accuracy
Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Finance to resolve billing discrepancies
Develop and enforce standardized collections policies and procedures
Prepare AR aging reports and provide regular updates to leadership
Identify process improvements and implement best practices for billing and collections
Assist with month-end close related to AR and revenue recognition
Support audit requests and documentation as needed
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior collections staff (if applicable)
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years of experience in billing and collections, preferably in IT, SaaS, or professional services
Strong understanding of AR, invoicing, and cash application
Experience working with large customer accounts and complex billing structures
Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred)
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, reconciliations)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Comfortable working in a remote consulting environment
Preferred
Experience supporting a $100M+ revenue organization
Prior consulting or fractional accounting experience
Exposure to revenue recognition standards
