The Operational Technology Engineering Intern will assist with the design, analysis, and testing of electrical protection, control, SCADA, and communication systems, while gaining hands-on experience on real-world infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
Assisting with the design, analysis, and testing of electrical protection, control, SCADA, and communication systems for transmission and distribution projects, under the guidance of experienced engineers
Gaining hands-on experience on real-world infrastructure projects, including exposure to industry standards, power system components, and protection & control practices
Supporting engineering deliverables using AutoCAD, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office, while applying analytical and problem-solving skills to technical challenges
Working as a team-oriented contributor, participating in collaboration, communication, and field visits, with a willingness to go onsite and engage in practical learning opportunities
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
Academic status of Sophomore or above
Program of study: Electrical Engineering
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application
Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Previous internship experience
Strong academic foundation in electrical systems and transmissions
Interest in power systems, protection & control
Experience with AutoCAD / CAD tools
Proficient in Microsoft suite
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently
Ability to prioritize and resolve issues under deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
Proven ability to learn new skills quickly
