Responsibilities

Lead the Nuclear Material Control and Accountability (NMC&A) Programs Topical Area for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions
Oversee the Site NMC&A Plan, Material Control topics, performance testing, self-assessment, and the Site NMC&A System Effectiveness Plan
Develop and implement nuclear material accounting software
Support DOE/NNSA sites
Provide expert guidance on NMC&A processes
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and contact for the International Atomic Energy Agency
Travel up to one week per month may be required

Required

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field. Concentration in accounting is preferred with 12 years of accounting or nuclear inventory experience required, OR
Advanced degree (MBA or MS) with 2 years' experience, OR
Eight years of Material Control and Accountability experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree requirements
Significant experience with Nuclear Material Control and Accountability at a DOE/NNSA site
Significant experience with Local Area Nuclear Material Accounting Software (LANMAS) and performing day-to-day accounting
Nuclear material accounting experience and physical inventory reconciliation at a DOE/NNSA site
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, chemistry, and physics as it applies to tracking nuclear material
General knowledge of nuclear material measurement techniques
Computer proficiency to perform spreadsheets and analysis on complex issues
Understanding of DOE nuclear material accounting systems and reporting requirements
DOE 'Q' clearance required. Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE/NNSA
