Responsibilities
Coordinate daily work across Service Desk and Network Administration; assign priorities and remove blockers
Lead high-impact incident response, communications, and restoration; drive root-cause and corrective actions
Oversee network operations, monitoring, maintenance, and planned changes to support availability and performance
Track and improve operational metrics (response/resolution, backlog, trends) and standardize processes and documentation
Coordinate closely with State central IT (ITS) for enterprise services, connectivity, security requirements, escalations, and shared changes; ensure alignment and timely resolution
Qualification
Required
Strong leadership, customer service mindset, and ability to coordinate across teams and stakeholders
Practical ITSM knowledge and disciplined execution of incident/problem/change processes
Solid networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills; comfort prioritizing during outages
Clear communicator who can translate technical issues, document consistently, and manage vendors/partners
Ability to build productive working relationships with ITS to expedite escalations, align maintenance windows/changes, and reduce recurring issues
Preferred
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of IT experience with emphasis in multi-platform hardware and software systems and systems administration
Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years progressive IT operations experience across service delivery, end-user support, and infrastructure operations
3+ years leading technical teams (work planning, coaching, performance support)
Strong experience with ITSM processes (incident/request/problem/change) and meeting service level targets
Experience with ticketing/ITSM platforms, asset/configuration tracking, and documentation/knowledge management
Experience overseeing enterprise network operations (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN, firewalls, switching/routing, DNS/DHCP, monitoring)
Experience coordinating vendors/contractors and working in a regulated/security-conscious environment
