Staff Inventory Control Analyst

Responsibilities
Cycle Count Ownership: Architect, enhance, and deploy a robust, audit-ready cycle count program that meets internal controls and external regulatory compliance standards
Team Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to the Inventory Control Team, setting daily priorities and fostering a culture of precision and accountability
Policy Governance: Monitor and enforce site-wide inventory control policies, ensuring full compliance with corporate SOPs and financial audit requirements
System Reconciliation: Lead the synchronization of inventory data between Oracle WMS and ERP, ensuring real-time data parity and financial accuracy across all systems of record
Transactional RCCA: Act as the technical lead for Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) regarding transaction posting failures between WMS and ERP; identify systemic bottlenecks and implement permanent fixes
MES Automation: Partner with the MES team to design and deploy automated material consumption programs for WIP inventory, transitioning production lines to trigger-based, real-time backflushing
Process Engineering Alignment: Collaborate with Process Engineers to audit shop-floor layouts, ensuring that physical material movements are mirrored accurately by digital system transactions
Future Automation: Serve as the inventory subject matter expert (SME) for future automation initiatives, ensuring seamless data alignment between FMS (Fleet Management Systems), WMS, and ERP
Packaging Strategy: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for packaging inventory, including forecasting, procurement, and ensuring line-side readiness to prevent production delays
Stock-Out Prevention: Partner closely with the Material Planning team to validate system accuracy, ensuring that planning models are based on accurate data to avoid critical stock-outs
Analytics & Reporting: Prepare and deliver executive-level monthly and quarterly inventory health reports, highlighting KPIs, turnover, and forensic variance analysis
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution operation in an inventory management role
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related technical field
Experience supervising a team of cycle counters or coordinators in a high-pressure manufacturing environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred
APICS (CPIM or CSCP) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification
