Responsibilities
Lead activities which drive compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate EHS laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines
Lead and improve EHS programs and practices in the plant to eliminate hazards and reduce or eliminate associated risks
Support the Management of Change Program and conduct safety inspections
Participate incident investigations
Participate in sustainability initiatives and reporting
Promote behavioral based safety
Ensure all employee and contractor training is completed, documented, and maintained
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or Environmental Science, or relevant experience
At least 5 years of experience in an EHS role at a chemical, (or industrial) manufacturing facility
Preferred
Professional certification(s) such as: Certified Safety Professional (CSP®), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or related professional certification(s) or current in process
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with plant management and production employees
Working knowledge in ergonomics, noise, confined space, machine guarding, and chemical approvals
Experience in Industrial Hygiene
Experience with PHA and starting up new operations
Knowledge of working with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
