Responsibilities

Plan and execute virtual small-group and individual reading intervention sessions for learners in grades 3–8
Apply reading assessment data to identify fluency and comprehension deficits and modify instruction rapidly
Adapt activities across varied reading levels, including accommodations for dyslexia and associated reading challenges
Monitor progress using clear, reliable methods and leverage the data to inform subsequent sessions
Conduct structured motivation check-ins that foster confidence, resilience, and pride in development

Required

Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or a closely related field
Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K-12 or equivalent state certification)
Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy approaches)
At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one reading interventions for students in grades 3–8
Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
Ability to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to plan and adjust instruction
Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting through clear, motivating communication
Full-time availability during U.S. business hours (Monday–Friday; 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. PT)
