Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to stay connected to our online programs and engage with participants to uncover stories worth sharing. This means being proactive and comfortable starting conversations, reaching out via email and WhatsApp, following up as needed, and building relationships in order to gather quotes, articles, and other content that helps tell LaunchX’s story well
File management and organization: Maintain well-organized content libraries so assets can be easily accessed and reused throughout the year
Article creation and storytelling: Develop written content by connecting with Launchies, mentors, speakers, and LaunchX staff. Leverage additional contributors, including current and former students, to create compelling articles
Photo and video coverage: Capture key moments in and out of the classroom and curate high-quality photo and video assets for use across the website and marketing channels
Social media content creation: Strengthen LaunchX’s presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by creating engaging posts, capturing real-time content, and collaborating with students on content ideas
Cross-functional project support: Provide support for events, logistics, and special projects in collaboration with teams across the organization as needed
Qualification
Required
Goal-oriented, flexible, and creative
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in design and social media
Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator-like programs
Experience with taking photos and videos
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to submit a portfolio of relevant design, photo, video, or content work
Reliable high-speed internet connection and access to a personal laptop
Must successfully pass a background check
