Senior Business Advisor

They are seeking a Senior Business Advisor to provide high-impact advising services that accelerate the growth of small and mid-sized businesses, focusing on access to capital and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities
Provide advanced one-on-one advising on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial modeling, business planning, market assessment, and operational efficiency
Develop tailored client plans and ensure progress through consistent follow-up and documented outcomes
Guide entrepreneurs through the loan and capital access process — from eligibility and preparation through application and funding
Design and implement technical assistance programs aligned with organizational and economic objectives
Manage reporting requirements including monthly performance metrics, invoices, and action plans while ensuring all activities are documented in Dynamics CRM
Mentor and develop junior Business Advisors in financial analysis, advising strategies, CRM utilization, and client engagement
Lead workshops, webinars, and outreach events on financial literacy, loan readiness, and business development
Build strategic relationships with internal lending teams and community partners to drive better capital outcomes
Represent Prestamos CDFI at community events, conferences, and partner activities
Support organizational strategy through leadership in team meetings and cross-functional initiatives
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
3+ years' experience in business advising, with a specialization in financial analysis and strategic business planning
Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple client projects simultaneously with attention to detail
Demonstrated proficiency in financials, budgeting, and forecasting, with a keen ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable advice
Proven track record of mentoring and developing advisory staff, with an emphasis on financial analysis and business strategy
Strong leadership qualities, including excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Required to adapt to various work settings, including remote consultations and on-site client visits, with availability for occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate client needs
Valid driver's license in good standing and proof of liability and property damage insurance
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field highly preferred
Preferred certification in Business Administration, Management, or related field, complemented by continuous professional development in current business practices
English/Spanish Bilingual Highly Preferred
