IT Systems Administrator
San Diego County Office of Education is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain computer systems and networks. The role involves ensuring system efficiency, troubleshooting user issues, and maintaining network security while supporting the organization’s digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet and intranet systems
Maintain system efficiency
Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together
Troubleshoot problems reported by users
Make recommendations for future upgrades
Maintain network and system security
Analyze and isolate issues
Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
Evaluate and modify system's performance
Identify user needs
Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
Design and deploy networks
Perform network address assignment
Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration
Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems
Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches
Maintain and manage virtual systems to ensure optimum operational efficiency, business continuity of the enterprise applications and user access through the use of industry standard and best practice for backups, planning and monitoring
Provides assistance or backup coverage to assigned employees or other departments as needed; performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Associates degree in Information and Systems Technology, Computer Science or closely related field required
Possess and maintain certificate concurrency for CCNA and MCSE
At least 2 years' experience holding similar positions with performing similar duties and responsibilities
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license
