Responsibilities

Move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard truck

Move trailers back and forth between plant and off-site storage facility

Ensure that trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading

Perform daily safety checks on yard truck and report any issues to management

Assist with loading and unloading of trailers

Maintain a clean and organized yard

Communicate with other yard personnel and management to ensure efficient operations

Operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)

Qualification

Class A license3 years driving experienceDOT compliance experienceVehicle evaluationsFlexible attitudeCustomer focus

Required

Class A license with a clean driving record and valid medical card

Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 45 hours a week

Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations

3 years of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks

A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus

Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)

Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections

Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3

Proven longevity in past employment
