Responsibilities
Incoming inspection of castings, forgings, raw material, and semi-finished/ finished aerospace components
Sample inspect parts for conformance and review supplier certificates and test reports for conformance
Inspection includes visual and dimensional using required gaging and measuring equipment
Interpret operation sheets and blueprints meet customer criteria for an acceptable part
Ensure that all parts being inspected meet criteria for an acceptable part
If a part is defective or needs re-work, Inspector must complete required paperwork associated with this task
Qualification
Required
2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace environment
Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and customer specifications
Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
Experience reviewing supplier certification paperwork for conformance including, but not limited to, validating material properties, dimensional results, and compliance to customer specifications
Experience performing and documenting First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102
Proficient computer skills including a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
Preferred
Previous experience performing incoming inspection in an aerospace environment (Highly desirable)
Experience performing XRF verification of material and interpreting results (Highly desirable)
