Responsibilities
Support the functional configuration and maintenance of Deltek Costpoint modules under the guidance of senior consultants
Assist with business requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping
Participate in client discovery sessions, design workshops, and project meetings
Support core Costpoint modules including General Ledger, Project Accounting, Time & Expense, Billing, Labor, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
Assist with system testing, validation activities, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Help analyze and resolve functional issues, configuration questions, and user inquiries
Support data validation, conversions, and reconciliations during Costpoint implementations and upgrades
Assist with reporting needs using Costpoint standard reports and Cognos Analytics, where applicable
Maintain functional documentation, configuration workbooks, and training materials
Learn and apply government contracting best practices, including DCAA compliance, FAR/DFARS requirements, and timekeeping controls
Collaborate with project managers and senior consultants to ensure project milestones, timelines, and quality standards are met
Qualification
Required
1–3+ years of experience working with Deltek Costpoint or related GovCon financial systems
Foundational understanding of government contracting accounting concepts
Exposure to project accounting, labor processing, billing, or financial operations
Strong interest in learning Deltek Costpoint functionality and GovCon compliance requirements
Ability to follow structured processes and clearly document functional work
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a client-facing consulting environment
Preferred
Experience supporting Costpoint implementations, upgrades, or post-go-live support
Exposure to Deltek Time & Expense, Vantagepoint, or related Deltek products
Familiarity with Cognos Analytics or ERP reporting tools
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
Background in consulting, accounting, ERP support, or GovCon environments
