Responsibilities
Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
Verify client insurance benefits and eligibility
Process payments, post EOBs, and reconcile accounts
Review and correct denied or rejected claims
Manage insurance authorizations and track expiration dates
Follow up on outstanding claims and unpaid balances
Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim issues
Prepare monthly billing reports for management
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulation
Answer inbound calls, emails, and client inquiries
Assist with scheduling appointments as needed
Maintain organized electronic and paper records
Support clinicians with documentation and administrative needs
Greet clients and provide professional front-office support
Assist with intake paperwork and client onboarding
Help maintain office supplies and general organization
Support general operations and special projects assigned by leadership
Qualification
Required
Experience in medical or mental health billing required
Knowledge of insurance processes, CPT codes, and EOBs
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma required
Preferred
Proficiency with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) preferred
associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field a plus
