Responsibilities
Team leadership: manage and grow a team of high-powered strategic sourcing managers; hire, coach, set goals, run performance reviews and career development. Inspire and develop a proactive, user-first culture that values operational excellence and continuous improvement
Vision & strategy: define and evangelize a clear sourcing vision for Tech & Workplace categories that advances Procurement’s evolution at Stripe; translate that vision into an annual roadmap and prioritized programs that align to product and engineering roadmaps
Category strategy & execution: deliver annual strategies for Core Tech, Infra, Product, Partnerships, Workplace, and Corporate Security categories; ensure procurement is closely integrated with business needs throughout the entire sourcing lifecycle
Value development: develop strategies, playbooks and workflows in partnership with the broader procurement team to scale preferred supplier usage, reduce cost per transaction, and improve time‑to‑procure
Commercial outcomes & supplier stewardship: lead and support negotiations and supplier selection for high‑impact contracts, drive measurable cost savings and value capture, and promote ethical, sustainable supplier relationships consistent with Stripe’s values and risk appetite
Stakeholder partnership & engagement: build trusted partnerships with senior technical, product, and workplace leaders; proactively engage stakeholders across the procurement lifecycle, run QBRs, and translate procurement insights into business decisions
Compliance, risk & sustainability: partner with Third Party Risk, Supplier Deal Management, and Legal to ensure compliant contracting, supplier onboarding, and adherence to regulatory and internal requirements; incorporate supplier sustainability and ethical considerations into sourcing decisions where relevant
Measurement & insights: establish and monitor team OKRs and KPIs (cost savings, % spend under management, supplier performance, procurement cycle times, stakeholder satisfaction); provide regular insights and recommendations to cross‑functional partners to inform supplier strategy and prioritization
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
5+ years of people management experience
Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices
Experience managing strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with procurement in the tech industry or financial services sector
Familiarity with procurement analytics and performance metrics
Strong negotiation skills
