Knife River Corporation is seeking a Billing Clerk/Administrative Assistant to support their Cement Division. The role involves organizing files, processing billing, coordinating reports, and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

Organizes and maintains files for Cement Division to include but not limited to personnel files, Work orders and Environmental reports and Division Accident Records
Processes daily billing for Cement Division on the POS and Financial systems
Review and distribute invoices to various supervisors in Tungsten
Distributes laboratory certificates for material
Coordinates various Cement Division reports to include Division AP documents, Division Overtime reports, Vacation Requests, barge fuel/tonnage reports
Coordinates Division travel, lodging, and related documentation in accordance with company travel policies
Participates in the Inventory Control and Cycle Counting programs
Produces Division meeting minutes
Participate in Division safety training program
Picks up, sorts and delivers incoming mail and correspondence
Coordinates mobile equipment registrations, trucker insurance policies, and reconciles the Cement Ship BOLs
Assists divisional Supervisors and Sales as needed and serves as backup to the operations coordinator
Regular phone interactions, email and computer application work
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
Always works safely and takes action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors. Ensures company safety goals are achieved and be a role model of company safety and environmental policies, procedures and behaviors
Promotes company’s Mission and Vision statements
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Possess good judgment - must pass the job description physical capacity functions test
High school diploma or its equivalent
Three years of administrative assistant and or clerking experience
Proficient computer and math skills with strong data entry skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Communication skills and positive interactions with a variety of customers (internal and external) and vendors required
Consistent and dependable attendance to support business operations and team needs
Valid State of Hawaii driver's license, Class 3 or higher to be able to operate an automobile or SUV. Acceptable driving record
Must submit and pass a drug screening and security background check
Obtain a TWIC security card

Preferred

Experience in Maintenance Management and Purchasing
Experience for construction materials or manufacturing industry
Experience using JDE, spreadsheet servers, BI, Kronos
