OR Supply Chain Supervisor-Operating Room-Full Time (8 to 4:30p M-F)

The OR Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the OR supply chain, managing procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations while maintaining inventory levels and supporting the surgical schedule.

Responsibilities
Supervises the day-to-day OR supply chain operations to support the surgery schedule including the procurement process, the receiving and distribution of surgery materials, and maintaining inventory levels for stock and non-stock materials
Manages and oversees the completion of the day-to-day tasks of the OR coordinators
Manages the OR receiving dock with all the inbound and outbound shipments received daily
Assisting in overseeing and supporting supply chain team members
Knowledge of the biologic implant procurement and distribution process; ensures FDA and Joint Commission compliance regarding handling and chain of possession of biologic materials
Monitors the overall cleanliness of the OR receiving area to ensure a work environment free of trash and clutter. Ensures egress, fire hydrant, and pull station compliance
Oversees vendor tote compliance within the OR receiving area
OR equipment: coordinate equipment repair, assist with introduction of new equipment, and retirement of old equipment
Partners with OR Business Operations team in cost containment and savings initiatives
Engages in data analysis generating reports related to material usage, backorders, forecasts, and other analysis as assigned
Assists with the training of new team members as well as continued development of existing team members
Participates in the semi-annual inventory processes
Participates in process improvement initiatives as assigned
Participates in intra-department teams and related meetings
Performs other duties as assigned or requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, with OR clinical experience preferred
Five years supervisory experience in OR Materials Management or similar role preferred
Outstanding communication and leadership skills – ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of the organization, and with physician and vendor partners
Established knowledge of MMIS and EMR systems
Strong analytic skills and expertise in all Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Experience in project management
Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending, standing, and stretching
Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry
Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated
Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs., carry and lift up to 20lbs
These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis: Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation, TB/PPD Surveillance Program, Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s)
Preferred
Five years supervisory experience in OR Materials Management or similar role preferred
Professional certification (e.g., Certified Materials & Resource Professional – CMRP) preferred
