Reverse Engineer (In Office-Sterling, VA)
SIXGEN is actively seeking candidates to provide critical support for a variety of IC, DoD, and DoJ customers. The Embedded Engineer reverse engineers code to understand system internals and write code to protect platforms against attacks and intrusions within embedded environments.

Responsibilities
Identifying relevant functionality and internal structures through reverse engineering of compiled code that runs on a variety of computing platforms
Developing C code in the kernel and userland for embedded operating systems
Developing Python code for system analysis framework
Reverse engineering compiled code with IDA Pro, Ghidra, and radare2
Reverse engineering embedded system hardware including black box analysis, firmware extraction, and debugging using GDB, JTAG, and other equivalent tools
Implementing automation for deployment, testing our tools, and reverse engineering
Occasional travel to other sites for technical exchanges
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizen
Current Top Secret clearance
Experience in reverse engineering compiled code that runs on a variety of computing platforms
Development of C code in the kernel and userland for embedded operating systems
Development of Python code for system analysis framework
Experience with reverse engineering compiled code using IDA Pro, Ghidra, and radare2
Experience with reverse engineering embedded system hardware including black box analysis, firmware extraction, and debugging using GDB, JTAG, and other equivalent tools
Ability to implement automation for deployment, testing tools, and reverse engineering
Willingness to travel occasionally for technical exchanges
Preferred
Experience with C++
Familiarity with Git
Knowledge of Linux
Experience with Embedded Operating Systems
Experience with Hardware Reverse Engineering
Familiarity with Compilers (GCC/LLVM)
