InternAccess: Supports for Living is dedicated to helping individuals live healthy and fulfilling lives, and they are seeking an I/DD Nursing Intern. The intern will assist nurses in providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities in various programs, while gaining practical experience in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
Observe and assist with medication counts
Observe and assist with medication pours
Ensure client appointments are scheduled
Assist in charting of client medical information
Provide medication and wellness patient education
Participate in daily IDD Nursing huddles
Participate in weekly supervision
Additional assignments may be determined at a future date
Qualification
Required
Applicants be enrolled in a degree program that will grant them credit hours for their internship
Applicants must also be an associate level nursing student
Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and competency at all times
Excellent communication skills
Current associate level nursing student
Preferred
Prior experience in nursing is a plus
