Responsibilities

Reviewing, evaluating, and providing constructive feedback on submitted manuscripts and research papers in electrical engineering, data science, machine learning, and related fields
Providing outstanding author service and overseeing the peer review process
Establishing relationships with scientists in physical science area through outreach to research communities and recruit exciting papers
Traveling to scientific conferences and visit academic institutes
Strengthening and building the visibility and reputation of the journal
Contributing to strategic planning and journal development with the editorial team
Building effective working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press and beyond
Contributing to broader Cell Press initiatives to shape the future of science communication

Qualification

PhD in relevant fieldElectrical EngineeringData ScienceCoding experienceAlgorithm developmentAnalytical skillsEditorial experienceEngagement with communityCritical thinkingTeamwork skillsInterpersonal skills

Required

PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Electrical Engineering field
Strong hands-on experience in coding, algorithm development, engineering principles, and analytical skills
Research experience in a relevant field and a broad scientific interest
Track record of peer-reviewed publications
Utilize critical thinking and the willingness to learn and absorb new areas of research
Teamwork and interpersonal skills with a collaborative problem-solving mindset
Interest in engaging with the scientific community
Able to work successfully both independently and in a diverse global team
Natural ability to engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders, teams and our community
Permit to work full time in US
