5+ years expXcel Energy is seeking a Project Manager II to provide end-to-end project management for finance reporting redesign and remediation resulting from the SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role will lead a reporting workstream and partner closely with various teams to ensure successful delivery of project scope, schedule, and milestones.

Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering, planning, and execution for finance reporting remediation and new report development
Build and manage detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, milestones, and timelines using Agile and waterfall methodologies
Coordinate design sessions with finance pod leads and ensure alignment across stakeholders
Ensure all project stage gates, approvals, and documentation are completed per governance standards
Identify dependencies across workstreams and ensure integration with parallel initiatives
Independently manage project scope, schedule, risks, and deliverables
Track progress against milestones, identify gaps, and execute corrective action plans
Prepare and deliver project status reports, timelines, risk logs, and decision materials for leadership
Ensure compliance with internal project governance and change management processes
Proactively identify risks, issues, and impacts throughout the project lifecycle
Drive mitigation strategies, escalation, and decision-making as needed
Manage scope changes and business expectations effectively
Coordinate internal and external resources, including PwC and technical reporting teams
Influence cross-functional stakeholders with and without direct authority
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Build strong working relationships to maximize efficiency, responsiveness, and delivery outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of project management experience
3–5 years of experience leading process improvement or technology-driven initiatives
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology implementations (preferred)
Strong organizational, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and drive outcomes in a matrixed environment
Preferred
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP HANA Sidecar, or Business Objects
Experience supporting SAP implementations or enterprise reporting projects
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA
Utility or finance industry experience a plus
