Responsibilities

Define and maintain the overarching creative direction for the Southland brand
Translate business priorities and strategic initiatives into creative concepts and campaigns
Serve as the creative voice in major initiatives and executive communications
Own the integrity and evolution of the brand identity to mirror and represent the company through growth and change
Maintain consistency across digital, print, environmental, and experiential touchpoints
Oversee the development of all branded content, guidelines, and creative standards
Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of designers spanning early careers to senior manager
Provide clear creative direction and foster a collaborative and innovative creative culture
Partner with marketing functional leads (Comms, Multimedia) to ensure alignment on priorities, workflows, and processes
Establish creative processes and approval structures
Leverage project management resources to support prioritization, timelines, and workload planning
Leverage team assets and strengths to execute day-to-day creative output

Required

15+ years of senior creative leadership experience, with a background in design, visual communications, art direction, or related creative fields
Proven ability to lead a creative team and manage multiple projects at varying levels of complexity
Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, brand storytelling, and multichannel creative work
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence non-creative audiences
