IT Services Intern
Harry Meyering Center, Inc. supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and community. The IT Services Intern plays a key role in keeping the organization's technology running smoothly and efficiently, gaining practical experience in IT by supporting system functionality, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with updates across cloud-based platforms.

Responsibilities
Assist with solving Akita box requests as they come in
Respond to IT issues, hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems to ensure minimal downtime
Manage user accounts across various platforms, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Therap, among others. Ensure proper access control and user privileges
Maintain and update inventory of all IT devices within the organization. Ensure device labels & inventory list match
Assist with special projects assigned by the Systems Technician. These may include system upgrades, new system implementation, and other IT initiatives
Assist in updating the HMC website as needed
Maintain HIPAA Compliance in all communications, whether written or verbal, both external and internal to HMC
Provides support as directed/necessary with record keeping and filing
Provides regular updates to the Director of Operations on the status of projects or other reports as directed
Follows all health and safety policies and procedures
Other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with individuals, support teams, case managers, family members, and co-workers
Must be comfortable using and or learning IT systems and applications
Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills, able to problem solve and respond effectively to emergency situations
Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma
Must have an advanced knowledge of technology programs. IE: Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint and have prior knowledge or be willing to learn any applicable technology systems
Strong organizational skills and ability to monitor multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively with several teams
Display exceptional documentation skills, knowledge of systems, routines, and programming
Must have a valid Driver's License and pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier
Must pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
Must have the ability to regularly kneel, crouch; occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
Preferred
Preferred qualification of pursuing a degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience
