Responsibilities

Lead the development of focused technical tasks related to automotive sound synthesis and active noise control features, including modeling, simulation, and prototype evaluation
Serve as a primary contributor for assigned technical activities, such as test preparation, data analysis, and documentation of results
Collaborate with colleagues in product development, systems engineering, and acoustics to ensure technical objectives and project milestones are met
Develop, implement, and evaluate prototype noise management concepts using simulation tools, software implementation, and experimental testing

Required

Demonstrable knowledge and hands-on experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Sound Engineering concepts, such as controls, signal processing, acoustics, or mechanical vibrations
Experience using MATLAB or Python to prototype ideas, analyze data, or explore signal-processing concepts
Ability to work independently on defined technical tasks with guidance from experienced engineers
Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan
Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Preferred

A passion for audio, acoustics, or vehicle technology, demonstrated through personal projects, research, or hands-on experimentation
Hands-on experience with professional audio tools, recording workflows, or VST3 plug-ins—whether through coursework, research, or creative projects
Exposure to digital signal processing, active noise control, or audio system modeling concepts
