CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
The City of Surprise is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead their information technology department. The CIO will provide technology vision and leadership, ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of technology solutions while supporting the city's strategic goals.

Responsibilities
Providing technology vision and leadership in the strategic planning and implementation of information technology infrastructure and services
Leading in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support centralized business operations
Ensuring the security, scalability and reliability of the technology used by the business
Making recommendations to the Council and City Manager
Developing and implementing policy initiatives
Setting the tone, climate and vision for the department
Ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and directives
Providing for a multi-jurisdictional approach
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Seven years of progressively responsible management experience directly related to the area assigned
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description
Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include fingerprinting, drug screen, criminal background screening, E-Verify, education and experience verification
