Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other advanced surveying equipment to collect accurate spatial data
Prepare detailed survey drawings, maps, and schematics using Civil 3D and Carlson software
Manage data collection and execution for ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, construction staking, and topographic surveys
Collaborate closely with civil engineers, architects, and project teams to develop accurate construction plans and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct field inspections to support construction staking, progress verification, data validation, and quality assurance
Prepare clear, detailed survey reports documenting methodologies, coordinate systems, findings, and technical specifications
Ensure all surveying activities comply with safety standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices
Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during both field and office operations

Required

Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) (active certification required)
Proven experience in land surveying, including project oversight and field operations
Proficiency in Civil 3D; strong experience with CAD drafting tools is essential
Solid working knowledge of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and survey-related mathematics
Hands-on experience operating GPS equipment, total stations, and related surveying instruments
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Understanding of civil engineering principles related to land development and infrastructure projects
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, and internal teams
High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and field-based problem-solving skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry standards
