Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management
Conduct thorough, unbiased investigations into employee complaints and grievances in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
Collaborate closely with HR and legal teams to resolve employee relations matters efficiently and effectively
Stay current on labor laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance and mitigate risk
Foster open communication between employees and leadership to address concerns and improve morale
Assist with the development of training programs, tools, templates, and reference materials related to employee relations
Utilize an employee relations case management system to document investigations, track case progress, and support HR partners
Consult with leaders on complex performance management issues, including performance improvement plans, exit strategies, and involuntary separations
Monitor employee relations trends and recommend corrective or preventative actions
Provide insight and input on employee engagement initiatives and remediation efforts
Assist in the creation, refinement, and consultation of company-wide HR and non-HR policies
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of labor laws and employee relations practices across multiple regions
Support the planning and implementation of policies and procedures that promote positive employer-employee relationships
Assist with investigations related to misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and other sensitive matters
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of employee relations or related HR experience, with demonstrated success handling complex employee relations issues
Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Proven ability to conduct thorough and impartial investigations
Experience with performance management and disciplinary processes
Analytical skills to interpret employee relations metrics and trends
Ability to work collaboratively with HR and legal teams
Experience designing and delivering training programs

Preferred

Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in HR, MPA, or similar)
Professional certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR
