Radiology School Program Director
Hancock Regional Hospital is seeking a Radiology School Program Director to lead their educational program. The role involves coordinating scheduling and instruction of students, directing recruitment and retention, and ensuring compliance with educational standards in radiology.

Responsibilities
Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an instructor in an accredited radiology program
Evidence of training pertaining to Curriculum Design, Instructional Methodology, Testing and Evaluation, and Educational Psychology specific to this position
Shall document a Master’s degree in Education or Health related field
Shall show proficiency in the operations of various radiographic related equipment
Flexible work schedule as required to meet the needs of the student's activities and promotion of the School of Radiologic Technology in the community
Must work under stress and pressure when regulatory deadlines approach
Coordinates scheduling and instruction of students. This includes commitment to the didactic and clinical aspects of the program
Directs student recruitment, selection, and retention
Evaluates students per policy
Takes disciplinary action as necessary and per policy
Act as the liaison between program, clinical affiliations, DIS department, HRH, and community
Fosters team building
In conjunction with the department team leader, prepares budget, monitors expenses and recommends purchases relating to educational needs
Displays and maintains behavior which promotes good guest relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
Attends departmental supervisory/clinical/associate meetings as required and serves on hospital task force as requested
Conducts faculty, student technologists, and advisory committee meeting
Performs other duties as requested
Ability to critique processed radiographs (or images on a monitor) against measurable criteria as established by radiology Department Standard Operating Procedures
Qualification
Required

Effective communication skills
Certification/license: American Reg of Rad Techs (ARRT); Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR); Rad Tech (RT)
Must be a registered Radiologic Technologist (registry eligible) in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Must hold a current valid license with the State of Indiana as a Diagnostic X-Ray Machine Operator
Must be CPR certified, (within 3 months of initial hire date)
Must hold a current valid Indiana State Driver's License
Associate must have a Master's Degree
