Help Desk Support Technician
Compass Business Group is seeking a strong Senior Helpdesk Technician to provide exceptional escalation support for desktop, network, and server technologies. This role involves coordinating and implementing customer projects as well as resolving escalated cases raised by other helpdesk tiers.
Responsibilities
Perform routine system checks to monitor IT infrastructure and flag issues early
Execute and resolve assigned helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner
Participate in weekly helpdesk team meetings to align on priorities and improvements
Manage and track IT inventory, including intake, tagging, and updates in tracking systems
Assign and manage device numbers, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability
Assist in building and submitting quotes for IT hardware/software purchases
Accurately track and submit time spent on tasks and projects
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Serve as the escalation contact for customer issues and provide technical guidance to the helpdesk team
Any additional work as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or technical services role
Strong customer service skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Familiarity with ticketing systems, asset tracking tools, and general IT best practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work 5 days a week in Office located in Gahanna, Ohio. (Possible Weekends on call rotation if required by management.)
Preferred
Associates/Bachelors Preferred
Cert A+, Network+, or Security+ a plus
Familiarity with Microsoft Server, M365, GSuite environments a plus
