Responsibilities
Providing prompt, accurate answers to internal and external customers through telephone, email, and chat
Setting up new customer accounts and enters customer transactions
Assisting with requests on pricing, shipping, product availability, terms and conditions, and item information
Assisting customers in determining product needs and providing basic assistance on products
Acting as liaison and customer advocate, interfacing with other Hach departments
Ensuring long-term customer relationships by utilizing professional customer service skills
Identifying sales opportunities and offering suggestions for complementary items to the customer
Identifying and submitting sales leads
Qualification
Required
High School diploma required
3-5 years' experience in customer service roles
Expressed aptitude for working in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
Ability to resolve customer complaints, as well as provide follow-up to customers and supervisor
Demonstrated computer proficiency
Experience with Microsoft Office required
Salesforce and Oracle preferred
Preferred
An associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
