Molding - Production Associate-DGM

Safariland is a premier designer and innovator of safety holsters and other duty gear, and they are seeking an experienced Holster Molding Operator to join their team. The role involves performing repetitive operations to mass-produce products while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Retail

Responsibilities

Perform assigned machine operations within established time standards
Perform assigned machine operations according to standardized procedures
Perform required daily machine maintenance and annotate appropriate forms
Assist in developing standardized work instructions
Ensure quality defects are not passed on to following processes
Work at different work stations as production needs require
Work on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line
Verify work order to assembled parts and/or finished product
Observe all safety regulations and procedures of the facility
Help in keeping production area clean and organized
Participate in kaizen activities to achieve productivity and quality improvements
Train associates as required
Other duties as assigned
Notify supervisor of non-conforming product
Notify supervisor of unsafe equipment or work practices

Required

Three (3) months to one (1) year related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
No college degree is required for this position but would be helpful in the advancement opportunity
General knowledge in the use of hand tools and shop operations
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Must work well with others and have the ability to be a team member
Ability to accept direction from a peer
Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Utilize hand and finger dexterity
