This role will support the month-end close and overall accounting function, requiring a hands-on and proactive approach in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities
Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances
Own assigned areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Ensure accurate general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP
Support manufacturing and inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations and cost variance analysis
Review and analyze income statement and balance sheet fluctuations month over month
Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
Maintain and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Support external audit requests with schedules, reconciliations, and explanations
Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance teams
Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and scalability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in a mid-size to large company environment, ideally $100M+ in revenue
Strong hands-on experience with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and close
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
Experience working with ERP systems, manufacturing ERP experience is a plus
High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and volume
Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
Preferred
Manufacturing or cost accounting experience
CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
