Responsibilities

You will provide problem resolution/troubleshooting for Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) Combat Systems
You will design, implement, perform and evaluate local test plans/procedures to determine material readiness; identify, resolve, and report discrepancies; and provide over-the-shoulder maintenance training to ships force and shop personnel
You will accomplish and coordinate planning and technical services to identify existing and/or develop technical work documents which define detailed requirements necessary to accomplish authorized work for assigned projects
You will direct job planning and engineering services to prepare work definition documents (work boundaries, scope, technical and quality assurance requirements, material cost and ordering documents, worker skills and man-hours requirements)
You will coordinate assigned engineering and planning work within the project team and with related work in other sections or branches
You will serve as the branch or project expert on assigned processes and serve as a mentor when other employees need training or coaching in specific areas

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

This is a bargaining unit position
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty
MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance
This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 411, proficiency level I, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate providing technical engineering and planning services to include the production of technical work documents and availability certification planning and support for electronics systems and equipment onboard ships or submarines
