Assessor Support Technician

Douglas County, Nebraska is seeking an Assessor Support Technician to perform clerical and technical duties using CAMA and IMS software. The role involves maintaining effective work relationships, ensuring data accuracy, and assisting the public with various applications and inquiries.

Responsibilities

Utilize software to type, transcribe, revise, store, print, retrieve and record correspondence, statistical data, reports, forms and other documents and information
Establish and maintain effective work relationships with clients, supervisors, County employees, elected officials, attorneys, law enforcement, judges, other agencies, and the public
Comply with Civil Service policies and regulations, collective bargaining agreements, County policies, department policies and laws to create a cooperative, safe, respectful and quality work environment
Proofread, edit, correct and verify all data, ensuring accuracy of computer files
Record data for real estate and/or personal property
Respond to inquiries from the public, in-person, by telephone, or email, to provide information and referral
File/retrieve correspondence, reports, and other materials
Ensure uniform storage and easy access to previously recorded information
Coordinate and monitor activities with other staff
Assist the public when filing applications/forms (e.g. homestead exemption, permissive applications, personal property, etc.)
Report to work with regular, consistent attendance
Perform other duties assigned and directed

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Two (2) years of clerical experience required
Completion of a pre-employment criminal record check and conditional offer drug screen required
Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted for requirements on a year-for-year basis
